With Our Tree Auger & Planting Tool, you can dig holes for bare-root trees and saplings quickly and without bending. The rugged, durable design allows you to power through rocky, sandy soils as well as harder clay soil. Adding a heavy-duty tip made from military-grade abrasion-resistant material gives you even more durability. This tree planting tool is also perfect for installing termite bait stations, deep-feeding and aerating trees or shrubs, and planting grass plugs and 4- or 6-pack annuals.

Clear

The Do It All Tree, Shrub & Termite Auger

Plant bare root trees, shrub saplings, grass plugs, 6 packs of annuals, or deep-feed and aerate all your trees or shrubs. This boring tool does it all. It even works great for post hole digging, and as a sand and beach umbrella auger.

For tougher jobs, add a heavy duty tip to your auger (made from military-grade abrasion resistant material) – it’s a great choice for contractors or anyone looking to get longer life and more use out of their auger.

Increase Efficiency With This Tree Auger

Our tree planting auger eliminates bending when it comes to planting and digging. It features a 2-inch diameter and your choice between a 24-inch, 30-inch, 36-inch or 48-inch length. The auger has a rugged, 5/8-inch shaft made from 100% steel, 18 inches of thick, durable, 10-gauge flighting, and the option to choose between a 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch non-slip hex drive.

3/8 inch or 1/2 inch?

Drills typically come in 2 sizes: 3/8-inch or 1/2-inch hex drive. This measurement refers to the width of the hex shaped connection between the drill and auger. Most drills will display their size in the fine print on the side of the drill (see picture). Power Planter offers both sizes of hex drives plus an an adaptable tube drive option for power users. If you are boring through rough ground with small rocks, sand, or hard clay soil we strongly advise using a drill with a 1/2-inch hex drive to increase torque. For best results do not use a 3/8 inch auger with a 1/2 inch hex drive drill.

Need a drill for your new auger? The robust DeWalt 996 works perfectly with this model. Or, check out our Power Planter special with the DeWalt 460 60V drill kit!
