Why is My Auger Not Digging Efficiently?

Over time, auger blades become dull due to rocky soil or extended use, making it harder to cut through the ground. If your auger is no longer digging as efficiently as before, it may be time for auger replacement blades and tips. Swapping out worn auger blades restores cutting power and extends the life of your auger.

Are Auger Replacement Blades Universal?

No, auger replacement blades are designed to fit specific auger models. Our replacement auger blades fit 4-inch, 5-inch, 7-inch, 8-inch, and 9-inch THD augers (tube drives with heavy-duty tips).

Do Your Earth Auger Adapters Connect to Gas Powerheads?

Yes, our soil auger parts & accessories include threaded tube earth auger adapters and direct drive adapters that fit all ⅞” direct drive shafted power units. These adapters seamlessly connect to gas-powered drills like the Stihl® BT45. However, gas powerheads provide extra power compared to cordless drills and should not be used in rocky soils for safety reasons. 

PRO TIP: If you are using a Stihl® BT45 as your auger drill, please leave an ‘order note’ at checkout, and we will swap the hex adapter for a threaded adapter.  Your auger will be ready to roll straight out of the box!
