Daffodil bulbs have an average diameter of about 2 to 3 inches. To plant larger bulbs like daffodils, you should consider a bulb auger with a diameter of 3 or 5 inches. Planting bulbs correctly starts with choosing a suitable location with well-draining soil and adequate sunlight.
